The Hoya Transit program is designed to support sustainable travel for Georgetown students traveling across the Washington, DC, region. Since 2023, the Hoya Transit Program has provided monthly transit stipends to thousands of undergraduate and graduate students.
Program Overview
The Hoya Transit Program is expanding for the fall 2026 semester. Over summer 2026, in concert with student leaders, university leadership has evaluated historical ridership data and program feedback, which has helped to inform the expansion of this program. Read below to learn more about your program options.
As a reminder, undergraduate students are prohibited from bringing a car or other motor vehicle to the Hilltop Campus, Capitol Campus or GU-Q, or parking a vehicle on the street in Georgetown, Burleith and Foxhall, even if otherwise permitted by the DC Department of Motor Vehicles, DDOT, ParkDC or other DC agencies. We encourage students to consider taking advantage of the offerings listed above for moving around campus and the district throughout the year.
