Traffic Advisory: Theodore Roosevelt Bridge Ramp Closure (May-August 2026)

Starting Wednesday, May 13, 2026, the southbound ramp from the George Washington Memorial Parkway to I-66 East (Theodore Roosevelt Bridge) will close for structural repairs through mid-August. During this period, a posted detour will direct motorists via the Arlington Memorial Bridge, though the ramp to westbound US 50 will remain open. To avoid significant delays, the Office of Transportation Management recommends using alternate routes, such as the Key Bridge to the Whitehurst Freeway. Please note that the US 50 ramp from Arlington Boulevard to I-66 East will simultaneously reopen to help ease traffic flow.
