U.S. Army 250th Birthday Celebration Transportation Impacts 6/13-14

We ask colleagues to please prepare for impacts to their commute from Thursday, June 12, through Sunday, June 15. Please take note of the important information below as you plan your commute:

• Road Closures & Access to Parking Garages
  • Please refer to the Metropolitan Police Department’s Traffic Advisory  for more details about road closures and parking restrictions before and during the parade and festivities.
• Metro Access
  • Subscribe to MetroAlerts  to be notified of Metro service impacts via email or text. You can also find information on WMATA status and alerts on this website .
• GUTS Bus
  • GUTS service will still operate. The Dupont, Rosslyn, Wisconsin and Arlington routes will not change. 
  • The Capitol Campus Shuttle will operate on a modified route to avoid the road closures that are set to begin Thursday evening at 7 p.m. The Capitol Campus route will not service Peace Circle or Garfield Circle during this time period. 
  • Delays should be expected on all routes due to heavier than normal traffic.
