Posted in Announcements GUTS
The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is scheduled to begin roadway work that includes concrete work on M Street NW from 34th Street NW to 35th Street NW/Francis Scott Key Bridge starting on or around Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2024. Work will occur between 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.-5 a.m, Monday through Friday, weather permitting. There is also a possibility of Saturday daytime work to take place.
The roadway project is anticipated to be completed by Friday, Dec. 6, 2024. Temporary lane closures are to be expected with one travel lane remaining open.
GUTS Impacts
GUTS will continue operating on its normal schedules and routes. Drivers and passengers can expect heavier than usual traffic from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. going to and from Rosslyn on the Rosslyn and Arlington GUTS lines. Drivers will have an alternate route if necessary, and will only be utilized if traffic is backed up on the Key Bridge.
All other lines will operate on their regular routes and schedules. There may still be delays due to traffic using alternate routes. The Wisconsin Avenue shuttle will be the only service that is unaffected by the construction.
